“Thousand Oaks has become one of the most desirable placed to live and work in the US. Studies show that cities that reinvest in their infrastructure and thoughtfully designed public and private space will continue to thrive economically, serving the needs of our vast and growing populous. I am honored to be a conduit of communication for the team and families of Los Robles Health System, as one of the city’s largest employers with over 1700 employees, 600 physicians and 700 volunteers across our four campuses in the Conejo Valley.”

“I grew up in Thousand Oaks, from when family moved here in ’77 and still resides here (although I am now in Simi Valley). My companies are all based in Newbury Park, currently employing 100+ people. I look forward to helping provide a perspective from someone who grew up here, and now does business here, and how those things can best work in harmony together – business and community.”
Paul Shrater
“Live in Oak Park but shops, play, and eats in T.O, and works for the company that manages the Janss Marketplace. I forward to working with people from all different backgrounds to help contribute to a GP that will be relevant for decades to come. Specifically, I look forward to providing input on retail commercial real estate and the need for improved signage code and zone changes for alternative uses to commercial retail property (ie. converting commercial real estate to hotels, residential and the like).”

“I am a lifelong resident of the City of Thousand Oaks, having grown up and currently residing in Newbury Park. I received all of my education within the city limits, including attending CLU for undergraduate, credential, and post-graduate degrees. I am currently employed within the City of Thousand Oaks as a high school teacher for the CVUSD. What I look forward to most as a GPAC member is learning more about zoning and the impact a general plan can have on my community while hopefully being a positive contributing member to the continued sustainability, growth, and well-being of the city as we look to both the immediate as well as long term future.”

“My wife and I moved to Thousand Oaks in 1993, and with the exception of one year, we've lived here ever since; it's definitely our home. Our daughter was born in T.O. and graduated valedictorian from Newbury Park High school in 2018. I've served on a number of City committees and commissions, including first being appointed to the Planning Commission in 1999 and last serving in 2014. I look forward to the GPAC recommending adjustments to the General Plan that honor the successful planning principles established in the past and sets the city up for success in the future.”

“I am a TO resident since 2010 (Lived in Agoura Hills from 2007-2010). I attended Moorpark College and graduated as a RN there in 2015. I am currently employed in TO in the same place where I volunteered for 4 years. I am 39 years old; I am originally from Mexico; I moved to USA in 1999. I moved to this area because I babysat for a family for about 12 years; this is how I supported myself to go to college. In other words, I would call the Conejo Valley my "home."
Alicia Rincon, RN
“I’ve lived here most of my life. I was raised and went to school, K-12 in Newbury Park. Moved back to Thousand Oaks when my wife and I were starting a family. We are now raising four kids here and love our community. Professionally, I am a commercial real estate broker. I work throughout the region but do a lot of work in Thousand Oaks, particularly in the Rancho Conejo Industrial area working with the business community and property owners. I am most looking forward to going through process with others from the community, learning the various perspectives, and hopefully contributing a little along the way. “
